Jean Johnson and Steven Osborne gave a concert at the Reform Club in London on 26 September, playing their own arrangement of Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata as well as Brahms Sonata No 2, and short selections by Verdi and Ravel.
In October, Jean will perform with the Hebrides Ensemble and their collaboration with Drake Music Scotland, creating and performing music with children with disabilities at Sir James MacMillan’s Cumnock Tryst Festival.
Jean performed with the BBCSSO in London, in two different Proms concerts (one televised) at the Royal Albert Hall. Always a fantastic experience. She also gave concerts in Edinburgh and Paisley with the chamber orchestra ‘London Concertante’, and will perform this month with the Hebrides Ensemble; the most current project is creating music with teenagers in Ayrshire with disabilities and support needs. A recording session with the BBCSSO took place in mid-August 2025.
Jean Johnson will perform at Wigmore Hall on the 12th March 2021, to celebrate Steven Osborne’s 50th birthday!
